Bioinformatics Training Program (Raymond J. Carroll, P.I.)
Our
Bioinformatics Training Program
is an R25T program, that is meant to train statisticians and electrical engineers
in the biological links between nutrition and cancer. Ours is the only R25T program that
aims to train statistically oriented individuals.
We received our initial grant in 2001, and have just been renewed for anohter 5 years, until 2011.
There are 6 faculty members from the Department of Statistics involved in the program, along with 2
members of the Department of Electrical Engineering, 6 members from the College of Agriculture and
Life Sciences, and 1 faculty member from the School of Veterinary Medicine.
Please see the program web site for more details.
You can find an informal
Powerpoint
presentation of the history and future plans
for the training Program.
